He said the LTTE no longer exist after losing the civil war in Sri Lanka in 2009.
He pointed out many of the LTTE leaders died during the decades-long war which displaced thousands of Tamils.
"What LTTE threat? These people are refugees, don't harass them," he said in a press conference today.
Three alleged key members of the Sri Lankan LTTE were arrested in several raids in Malaysia.
Authorities claim they have been using the country as a base to support their cause by raising funds from sympathisers worldwide.
Police reportedly seized RM20,176 from the suspects which are said to be donations, propaganda materials and a work permit issued for a non-existent company.
Ramasamy said the three should be charged in a Malaysian court if authorities have enough evidence to prove their involvement in the terror network.
He said detaining the three under the Immigration Act 1959/63 meant they would be deported to Sri Lanka and expressed his fear all may face torture and death there.
“Please give evidence about their terror activities, if there is none, stop harassing them,” he said.
Ramasamy also alleged the crackdown was a plan by the Sri Lankan government to avoid an international investigation into alleged human rights abuses during the civil war.
“This strategy is to invent the threat of LTTE’s revival danger to countries where there are sizeable Tamil populations,” he said and questioned if the more than two million Malaysian Tamils will also face similar scrutiny.
