Penang exco-in-charge of local government Chow Kon Yeow said the two PAS representatives whose terms were terminated were Yacoob Omar from the Penang City Council and Omar Hassan from the Seberang Perai Municipal Council.
"The state secretary has sent the letters informing them of their termination effective yesterday.
"Before this, Yacoob and Omar were appointed as councillors based on nomination by PAS in January," he said in a statement.
